Job Description: To work under the direction of the Production Manager and alongside other operatives, loading trailers, unloading deliveries and storing safely within the building assisting with the following:

Complete and oversee the loading and unloading of all wagons

Driving FLT and telehandler to load and unload deliveries
-
Oversee the slinging and lifting of panel bundles onto trailers
-
Check slings are in date, tagged and recorded
-
Record the sequence of panels on the trailer and slings numbers used ensuring the panels are fully loaded in the sequence required for site

Record trailer reference numbers with log of panels loaded
-
Ensure all loads are secured onto the trailer with ratchet straps
-
Organise and plan the exchange of trailers to ensure site required dates are achieved
-
Co-ordinate with production supervisor the storage of completed frames
-
Complete user checks of all lifting equipment
-
Follow instruction from Production Manager in all areas

Follow company procedures, working methods and RAMS
-
Understand why when and how health and safety control equipment should be used
-
Ensure safe and tidy working areas
-
Attend and implement any actions raised from regular toolbox talks and safety briefings
-
Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times
Requirements
-
Educated to GCSE standard
-
FLT / Telehandler licence – Required
-
Slinger/Signaller – desirable
-
NVQ qualification – desirable
-
IPAF scissor lift – desirable
-
The post holder will be required to operate telehandler and forklift truck, lift loads of up to 250KG and move around the yard floor.

The post holder must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable adjustments.

Previous yard experience
-
Excellent time management
-
Experience of working with power tools
-
Ability to reading and interpretate the detail within drawings
-
Work in accordance with RAMS
-
Have a sense of responsibility and strong work ethic
-
Required to wear Company uniform provided and have a tidy appearance

Able to work under own initiative
