About the Role. (Friday & Saturday)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and experienced Centre Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of our tuition centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the centre runs efficiently, maintains high standards of teaching and learner support, provides excellent customer service to parents and students, and meets all relevant safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational requirements.Key Responsibilities
The Centre Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the tuition centre.
- Leading, supporting and supervising tutors and administrative staff.
- Managing staff rotas, attendance and workload.
- Ensuring students receive a high standard of teaching and support.
- Monitoring student attendance, progress and achievement.
- Communicating professionally with parents and providing progress updates.
- Managing student enrolments, assessments and class allocations.
- Responding to enquiries from prospective students and parents.
- Supporting the recruitment and induction of tutors and other centre staff.
- Ensuring appropriate safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintaining accurate student, staff and centre records.
- Dealing with complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Ensuring the centre complies with health and safety requirements.
- Monitoring the quality of teaching and supporting continuous improvement.
- Organising staff meetings, training and performance reviews where required.
- Supporting the growth of the centre through excellent service and student retention.
- Working with senior management to achieve the centre's operational and educational objectives.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience in a management, supervisory or leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence in managing staff and dealing with parents and students.
- Good administrative and IT skills.
- The ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work under pressure.
- A professional, positive and customer-focused approach.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding children, young people and/or vulnerable learners.
- Good written and spoken English.
Desirable Requirements
It would be advantageous to have:
- Previous experience working in a tuition centre, school, college, training provider or other educational setting.
- Experience managing tutors or teaching staff.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.
- Experience monitoring learner progress and teaching quality.
- A relevant management, education or teaching qualification.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
