As our fleet and operations continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Workshop Controller to join our team.
This is a key role within our operation, responsible for managing the day-to-day running of our busy workshop and ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant and available for work. You'll coordinate servicing, repairs and inspections while working closely with drivers, technicians and the transport team to keep our operation running efficiently.

What you'll be doing:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the workshop
- Planning and scheduling servicing, repairs and MOT preparation
- Allocating work to workshop technicians and monitoring progress
- Liaising with drivers, suppliers and the management team
- Managing vehicle defects and ensuring they are repaired promptly
- Minimising vehicle downtime and maximising fleet availability
- Ordering parts and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Working closely with the Transport Team and Technicians to ensure compliance with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements
- Supporting a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor or similar role within an HGV or commercial vehicle environment
- A positive, confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Good mechanical understanding of HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Strong administrative and IT skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
- A proactive team player with excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of DVSA maintenance requirements and Operator Licence compliance would be an advantage
