The Front of House Host is responsible for delivering a professional and welcoming first impression for all clients, visitors, and staff. The role focuses on excellence in client experience and front-of-house operations, ensuring the organisation is represented to the highest standard at all times.
A Front of House Host is not just reception - the focus is more on the client experience, by adapting a hospitality‑style service and relationship building. Key Responsibilities
Front of House & Client Experience
· Greet all clients, visitors, and guests warmly on arrival
· Act as the first point of contact, ensuring a positive and professional experience
· Host clients during visits, including offering refreshments and guiding them to meeting rooms
· Notify relevant staff promptly of visitor arrivals – enquire whether client docs need to be photocopied & action if so
Reception & Office Support/Administration
· Manage the reception area and other client-facing areas to ensure it is tidy, presentable, and welcoming at all times (watering plants/replenishing refreshments)
· Answer and direct incoming phone calls and enquiries professionally
· Manage meeting room bookings, setup, and room readiness
· Manage desk availability within branch and liaise with line manager if there is not a minimum of 2 people in the office daily
· Ensuring reception is covered at all times
· Open and scan post, date stamp and distribute to staff
· Frank outgoing post and take to Post Office/Postbox
· Managing office supplies, equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations (including water company, printers, franking company, sanitary bin company)
· Liaising with suppliers for branch wide issues (IT company/phone company)
· Arrange deliveries/couriers for staff in the branch
· Monitor and order stationery weekly
· Archiving closed files for the branch
· Recording initial enquiries on the case management system
· Taking payments from clients and liaising with the finance team
· Liaising with the marketing team to update window displays
Professional Representation
· Represent the organisation’s brand, values, and culture at all times
· Maintain a professional appearance in a calm and approachable manner
· Have a basic understanding of the types of services we offer across our company
· Handle sensitive situations or queries with discretion and diplomacy
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
