Facilities Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week working Monday-Friday. Occasional planned weekend work may be required on an adhoc basis.

First Light Lamps Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-quality Xenon and Krypton lamps for the medical, aesthetic and industrial sectors. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team and support the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

The Role
As our Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, equipment repairs and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to minimise downtime and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
About You
As our successful candidate, you will have previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You should have strong mechanical engineering knowledge, with some electrical knowledge being advantageous.
A practical, hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues is required along with good computer literacy and the ability to maintain accurate records.
You should have a willingness to learn new skills and work with specialist equipment and technologies which can involve you having the ability to have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Within this position you will need the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
