Experienced Window & Door Fitter – PAYE or Subcontract
We’re looking for an experienced Window & Door Fitter / Fitting Team to join our growing, family-run business.
We’re a well-established and rapidly growing window and door company based in Leicester, with our own factory, office team and fitting teams all managed in-house.
We’re looking for someone who simply knows the job, takes pride in their work and wants consistent work with a company that is organised and growing.
This isn’t a position where we want to teach somebody how to fit. We’re looking for an experienced fitter with a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience who can confidently fit windows, doors and associated products to a high standard.
The role
You’ll collect everything required for your jobs from our factory just outside Leicester city centre. Jobs are organised and managed by our office, with regular communication between our fitting teams and the team back at the factory.
We can offer the position in two ways:
- Full-time PAYE employment, with the usual employment benefits and an additional bonus structure available
- Self-employed/subcontract basis, paid per item/job
We’re happy to discuss both options with the right person and agree a structure that works depending on experience.
What we’re looking for
You must have:
- Minimum 5 years’ proven window and door fitting experience
- References and evidence of previous work
- Your own van and tools ideally
- The ability to fit to a consistently high standard
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude and good work ethic
- The ability to communicate properly with customers and our office
- Reliability – if you say you’re going to be somewhere, we expect you to be there
- Pride in your workmanship and the jobs you leave behind
We’re not interested in cutting corners or rushing jobs just to get onto the next one. Our reputation has been built on doing things properly, and we want fitters who think the same way.

For PAYE fitters, there is also the opportunity to earn additional bonuses based on performance.
For subcontract teams, we can provide consistent work and a straightforward price-per-item structure, which will be discussed fully before starting.
Our trial process
Before offering anybody a position or regular subcontract work, we’ll ask you to spend approximately 2–3 hours on site alongside one of our Head Fitters.
There’s no complicated interview process. We want to see how you work, how you communicate and the standard you fit to.
