We’re looking for compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Bank Support Workers to join our team and make a genuine difference to the adults we support.
This is more than a support role. It’s an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, promote independence and help people live the lives they choose.
What makes our approach different?
For us, person-centred care isn’t just a phrase in a job description — it’s the foundation of everything we do.
We take the time to understand each person as an individual: their personality, interests, communication style, choices, routines, aspirations and what makes them feel safe, valued and heard.
You won’t simply be completing tasks for someone. You’ll be working alongside them, supporting them to have choice and control over their own lives.
That could mean:
- Supporting someone to discover a new hobby or reconnect with an old interest.
- Encouraging someone to make their own choices about how they spend their day.
- Helping someone build confidence and develop new skills.
- Supporting individuals to access their local community and maintain important relationships.
- Celebrating the small achievements that can make a huge difference.
- Listening — really listening — and making sure each person’s voice is heard.
- Providing reassurance and encouragement when someone is having a difficult day.
- Supporting people to be as independent as possible, rather than doing things for them.
Because great support isn’t about doing everything for someone. It’s about helping people have the confidence, opportunity and support to do more for themselves.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for people who are naturally caring, patient and respectful, but who also understand that every person is different.
You might already have experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Care Worker or Personal Assistant — or you may be completely new to care.
What matters most to us is your attitude.
We want people who:
- Treat everyone with dignity, respect and kindness.
- Believe people should have choice and control over their own lives.
- Are patient, approachable and non-judgemental.
- Are confident building genuine, trusting relationships.
- Can communicate effectively and listen to what people are saying — including when someone communicates in ways other than words.
- Are willing to learn and develop.
- Can work as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
- Are dependable and understand the importance of consistency for the people we support.
- Are willing to see the person, not the diagnosis or disability.
What will you be doing?
As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide flexible support across our services, helping people to live fulfilling, meaningful and independent lives.
Your day could involve supporting with personal care, daily living, meals, medication, appointments and community activities — but it will also involve something much more important:
getting to know the people you support and finding out what matters to them.
No two people are the same, and no two days are necessarily the same.
Why join us?
As a Bank Support Worker, you can enjoy the flexibility of picking up shifts that fit around your life, while becoming part of a supportive team that genuinely values what you do.
You’ll receive appropriate training and support to help you feel confident in your role, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress within care.
Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to go home knowing that your time, patience and kindness have made a difference to someone’s day — and potentially their life.
If you believe great care starts with seeing the person behind the support need, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today to become part of a team where person-centred support isn’t just something we say — it’s something we live every day.
