About Us:
Focus Foster Care is an independent fostering agency, supporting children and families across the West Midlands. Established in 2017, the Focus Foster Care team have worked hard to positively change the lives of children and young people throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, caring, and supportive home environment
- Support the child’s emotional, social, and educational development
- Encourage positive behaviour and help build life skills
- Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, and other professionals
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and reviews related to the child’s care
- Maintain accurate records and reports on the child’s progress
- Promote and facilitate contact with birth families where appropriate
Requirements:
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Have a spare bedroom
- Ability to provide a stable and supportive home environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and resilience
- Willingness to undergo background checks and training
- No specific qualifications required, but experience working with children is beneficial
Desirable: PC/tablet, Driving (flexible with public transport)
