Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Part Time Senior Sales Assistant to join our vibrant children’s fashion brand. The contracted hours are 16/24 hours per week with possible overtime, must be able to work weekends. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for retail management. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained at all times.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, banking and visual merchandising.
- Provide training and support to team members, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Organise staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering personalised styling advice for children’s fashion needs.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and organisation within the store, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed and replenished regularly.
- Handle administrative tasks such as stock control, sales reporting, and processing transactions efficiently using POS systems.
- Assist in implementing promotional campaigns and seasonal displays to maximise sales opportunities.
- Utilise organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with team members across different departments to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications
- Proven management or supervisory experience within retail environments, preferably in children’s fashion or related sectors.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently under pressure.
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and retail administration is preferred.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills with a professional demeanour.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts including weekends if required.
- Previous experience in managing stock levels, visual displays, and promotional activities is advantageous.
