We are seeking an experienced Senior Technologist to join our R&D team. The role is within the Lamination Technology team, part of the Glazing Technology group, which supports the wider business aims to improve our environment through the development of innovative new products for both architectural and automotive markets and improving our existing processes. Areas of interest include polymer materials as interlayers in glazing products, the integration of functional films and modifying the optical and thermal properties of glazing.
Key responsibilities are:

Manage technology development projects, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.

Apply scientific and technical expertise to develop innovative glazing products and processes.

Conduct hands-on experimental work to support all stages of the product development cycle.

Analyse technical data and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Collaborate with global R&D teams and cross-functional partners, including Manufacturing, Procurement and Quality.

Support the transfer and implementation of new products and technologies into manufacturing operations.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products, processes, and sustainability initiatives.

What are we looking for?

Ability to learn quickly and act independently, taking personal responsibility to deliver results.

Excellent communication skills, preferably with experience working across multidisciplinary and international teams.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects and deliver results in a complex, technical environment

You will have graduated with at least a first degree in materials science, physical science or engineering-related field.

Industrial experience is essential, and you will have some familiarity with new product development, ideally working in an R&D environment, or possibly in a related area such as quality.

Strong analytical skills, a creative mind and a passion for innovative technologies, and be able to articulate the benefits of new ideas for the NSG Group.
