This position gives an opportunity to interact with guests, shine and deliver exceptional service.
We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team at the Walpole Bay Hotel and Museum - the hotel is family run and from a bygone era. Our reception team are the first to liaise with our guests by email, telephone or face to face making it a very important role but it does not end at the reception desk. We need to be there to ensure the guests have the best possible experience during their visit, whether it is an overnight stay, an afternoon tea in our Edwardian dining room, a drink on the flower decked veranda or a look around the museum and Napery art gallery.
IT skills - hand written paperwork - a good telephone manner - ability to serve at the bar and in the tea rooms - cash/card payments - flexibility with hours - Ability to multi-task with a happy disposition.
Weekends will be included on the rota with shifts of 7am-3pm, 10am-5pm and 3pm-10pm,
Some of the responsibilities will include:
Providing superb customer service at all times
Answering calls/emails from guests to book hotel rooms and cream teas
Respond effectively to guest queries and visitors to the integral museum and art gallery, ensure all departments are aware of any details needed to maintain excellent guest experiences.
Working to the highest standards of financial and data security
Becoming part of a hard working and conscientious team
Previous experience within the hospitality industry is desirable but full on-the-job training will be given to the candidates with a can do attitude and a passion for the role. A knowledge of Microsoft office and outlook is expected along with a understanding of health and safety procedures.
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
