Job Title: Gardener (Part-Time)
Hours: 10 hours per week
Working Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Gardener to support the upkeep of our grounds. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces and enjoys hands-on work. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping the home’s grounds tidy, safe, and visually appealing, while also providing occasional assistance to the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas to a high standard, ensuring they are neat and well-presented
- Carry out routine groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and general tidying
- Assist the maintenance team with basic indoor / outdoor tasks as required
- Conduct regular visual inspections of the grounds and report any issues or areas needing attention
- Safely use and maintain hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Keep gardening equipment and tools clean and in good working condition, reporting any faults
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in gardening and groundskeeping maintenance is desirable
- Confidence using hand tools and basic power tools
- Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is an advantage
