Afterschool Club Tutor – London ( Innovation Pod)
Join Innovation Pod, a growing afterschool education provider delivering engaging clubs that help primary school children develop confidence, creativity and practical skills.
We run a range of afterschool clubs including Coding, Debate & Public Speaking, Sports, Science, Creative Activities and more. You do not need to be an expert in every subject — we provide all lesson resources, training and support to help you deliver high-quality sessions.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and responsible individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact after school.
The Role
As an Afterschool Club Tutor, you will lead engaging sessions for primary school children, creating a safe, positive and enjoyable learning environment.
You will:
- Lead and facilitate fun, educational and recreational activities.
- Deliver clubs such as Coding, Debate, Sports, Science and Creative Activities using our provided resources.
- Encourage children's confidence, creativity, teamwork and communication skills.
- Maintain a safe and well-managed classroom environment.
- Support positive behaviour and ensure all children are appropriately supervised.
- Build positive relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents and the Innovation Pod team when required.
- Set up and pack away equipment and leave the classroom clean and organised.
- Follow Innovation Pod's safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour policies.
- Attend required training and prepare for sessions using the resources provided.
Training & Support
No specialist teaching qualification is required.
Innovation Pod provides:
- Full training before you begin.

- Opportunities to gain valuable experience in education, childcare and youth development.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience working with children through teaching, tutoring, childcare, mentoring, coaching or similar roles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Good classroom management and behaviour-management skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- The ability to work independently while following provided lesson plans and company procedures.
- Availability for afterschool sessions, generally during weekday afternoons.
- A commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe environment for children.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for successful candidates in line with our safeguarding requirements.

There may be opportunities to take on one or more clubs per week, depending on your availability and the locations you can travel to.
