Full Time – Monday to Friday
Week 1: 7:00am – 4:00pm | Week 2: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Manager On Call: 1 weekend in every 4 weeks
Right at Home Cardiff & Newport is looking for an experienced and passionate Care Manager – Quality, Compliance & Training to join our growing team.
We provide high-quality, person-centred home care across Cardiff and Newport and are looking for an experienced care professional who can support our Registered Manager with quality, compliance, staff development and the effective operation of the service.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Registered Manager, you will:
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management, quality and compliance of the service.
- Help maintain compliance with CIW, Social Care Wales, commissioning requirements and organisational standards.
- Undertake quality assurance audits, identify gaps and ensure actions are followed through.
- Help ensure the service remains CIW inspection-ready.
- Monitor compliance across staff records, care documentation, training, competency and operational processes.
- Identify learning and improvement opportunities arising from audits, incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and observations.
- Support the delivery of new starter induction, refresher training and staff competency assessments.
- Coach and develop CareGivers and office team members to maintain high standards.
- Support the Registered Manager with staff performance, supervisions and improvement actions.
- Provide leadership and practical support to the wider office team.
- Support Care Coordinators and Field Care Supervisors with operational issues when required.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing and onboarding where appropriate.
- Deputise for and support the Registered Manager when required.
- Participate in the Manager On Call rota – 1 weekend in every 4 weeks.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience within adult social care, ideally domiciliary/home care.
- Has previous supervisory or management experience within a regulated care service.
- Has a good understanding of CIW requirements and Welsh domiciliary-care regulations.
- Has experience of quality assurance, audits and compliance monitoring.
- Is confident identifying areas of non-compliance and driving improvements.
- Has experience supporting staff training, induction, competency and development.
- Is confident coaching staff and challenging poor practice positively and constructively.
- Has excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Is proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable taking responsibility.
- Has good IT skills and strong attention to detail.
- Holds a relevant health and social care qualification and is willing to undertake further management development where required.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to suitable transport.
Working Hours
The role works a two-week rotating Monday-to-Friday shift pattern:
Week 1: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Week 2: 9:00am – 6:00pm
You will also participate in the Manager On Call rota for 1 weekend in every 4 weeks.
