Join the UK’s Leading Specialist in Electric Bikes
About Us For over 15 years, E-Bikeshop has been at the forefront of the electric bike revolution. Today, we’re one of the UK’s largest and most respected independent e-bike retailers, serving customers nationwide and across the globe.
We’re not your typical bike shop - our appointment-only showrooms and workshops deliver a premium, VIP experience from the very first conversation through to after-sales support. We work exclusively with the best European brands and top-tier drive systems – you won't find any low-quality, far-eastern imports here!
The Role
You’ll be working in one of the best-equipped e-bike workshops in the country. We provide our technicians with:
- Your own workbench and dedicated professional tools
- Electric post lifts to save your back!
- Access to the latest manufacturer diagnostic software
- A fully stocked parts department right on site
Because our workshops run by appointment only, your days will be structured and organised. You’ll be working exclusively on brand-new, premium e-bikes or maintaining bikes we’ve previously sold to our loyal customer base.
Your Responsibilities (Depending on your current experience level, we will support you in mastering these areas)
- Unboxing, assembling, and completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) to get premium bikes "ready-to-ride."
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues.
- Using manufacturer diagnostic tools to ensure bikes are running flawlessly.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and providing top-tier service.
What You’ll Need We would absolutely love to hire a fully qualified bike mechanic, however, we're very open to candidates with a strong foundation in bike building only who are eager to take the next step in their career.
- Essential: Either a Cytech (or equivalent) qualification, OR proven industry experience in high-quality bike assembly (from box to "ready-to-ride" standard) perhaps within another store/retailer or at manufacturer level.
- Essential: Able to follow established processes.
- Essential: Reliability, punctuality, and a genuine pride in the quality of your work.
- Highly Desirable: Hands-on experience with Bosch and Yamaha drive systems (Shimano, Fazua, and Mahle are a bonus!).
- Bonus Skills: Advanced electrical fault-finding capabilities beyond standard diagnostic tools.
What’s In It For You
- A competitive salary, based on your skills and experience.
- 28 days’ holiday.
- All the tea and coffee you can drink (seriously – it’s a lot).
- Fully funded, ongoing manufacturer training to keep you at the top of your game.
- A collaborative, supportive team who take pride in their work.
- The chance to work exclusively with the very best electric bikes on the market.
- Freedom to bring your own expertise to the table and help us grow.
If you’re passionate about quality, love working with great bikes, and want to be part of a friendly, professional team where your skills are valued – whether you're a master tech or a skilled builder looking to step up – we’d love to hear from you.
