We're recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join us at Octavius.
We are delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK. This role focuses on leading the delivery of major railway station enhancement projects and Access for All (AfA) schemes across the South West as part of Network Rail's CP7 framework.
You'll play a key role in improving accessibility, connectivity, and passenger experience across the region whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
You'll be working on:

- Leading the delivery of new stations, major enhancements and Access for All projects from development through to completion, aligned to our Line of Sight.
- Taking overall accountability for safety, programme, budget, quality, and customer outcomes across schemes valued between £20m and £30m.
- Providing leadership to project teams, consultants, and supply chain partners to drive collaborative, high-performing delivery.
- Overseeing key interfaces across multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects to include civils, structures, station buildings, M&E systems, telecoms, and operational railway stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships with Network Rail, local authorities, train operators, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Driving commercial performance, risk management, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

A highly skilled team of project managers, engineers, CREs, designers, commercial professionals, planners, and delivery teams working across our CP7 portfolio. You'll also work closely with Network Rail route teams, local authorities, train operators, station stakeholders, and specialist supply chain partners to deliver complex infrastructure projects that leave a lasting legacy for passengers and communities.

About you:

- Significant experience delivering rail infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis on civil engineering, structures, buildings and station-related works.
- Proven track record of successfully leading projects valued between £20m and £30m+ within an operational railway environment.
- Strong understanding of project delivery within the Network Rail framework, including governance, assurance and stakeholder management.
- Able to lead multi-disciplinary teams across design, engineering, commercial and construction functions.
- Experienced in managing complex interfaces between civils, structures, M&E, telecoms, operational railway stakeholders and third parties.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, programmes, risk and contractual obligations with knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS competent.
You'll bring:
(your wealth of experience & qualifications)
- An industry-recognised qualification such as a Degree, HND, NVQ or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ideally progressed through an engineering route with previous experience undertaking responsibilities as a Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) or equivalent engineering leadership role.
- Professional membership or working towards membership with a recognised institution such as ICE, IStructE, CIOB or APM would be advantageous.
- Extensive experience delivering rail infrastructure projects involving station works, buildings, structures, accessibility schemes, or wider civils-led railway enhancements.
- OR significant relevant experience gained through the successful delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects.
