One Property Recruitment have been instructed on a search for a Commercial Service Charge Accountant to oversee a prime London portfolio of impressive, high-end retail and office space. Known for their impressive client base and key relationships within the industry, my client is expanding their in-house finance team very much as a result of a number of exciting projects coming up in the next 12 months.
You will have an element of home working and benefit from a positive and empowering working environment. Your core duties will include:-
- Working with the Asset Managers to provide relevant service charge information
- Budget and account analysis with respect to major works projects and forecasting the recoverable amount for the landlord
- Preparing year-end service charge accounts, sales, budgets and reconciliations using Yardi software
- Ensuring accuracy within service charge clauses in new and renewed leases
- Assisting in the recovery of service charge debt that has arisen due to tenant query
- Preparing cash flow forecasts for major service charge projects

This would be an ideal position for someone who has experience within commercial service charge and will be able to hit the ground running. I am looking for the following experience/attributes:-
- 2-3 years’ experience in commercial service charge accounting ideally
- Strong knowledge of year end accounts, budgets, tenants queries and leases
- Excellent understanding of RICS commercial service charge code
- Strong knowledge/experience of using Yardi software
