Overview
We are seeking skilled Machine Operatives to join our team within the packaging industry. This role involves operating and maintaining various machinery used in packaging processes, ensuring efficient production flow and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with corrugated cardboard machinery such as casemakers, Bobst, LMC, Vision Fold, Emba 270 and 145, Century etc.,
Duties
- Operate packaging machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- inspect and report required maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Work with packaging material made to specification for customers
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse or production area.
- Ensure quality levels are achieved to the expectation of the customer and Quality Manager
- Monitor production output, quality control, and report any discrepancies or malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and minimise downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in working within the packaging industry and machinery operations of the same
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during operations.
- Previous packaging background is essential
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and safety awareness. This role provides a valuable opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to advance their careers in manufacturing technology within the packaging sector.
Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
