We are looking for a personal assistant to support our 15-year-old daughter who has a learning disability, Scoliosis, severe anxiety - with very specific needs around her Prader Willi syndrome and autism. She can become overwhelmed if over stimulated or stressed. She wants someone who is lively, fun and who will mess around and tease her, and not too much older than her.
Support will be required for some personal care, homework help, travel assistance and accessing activities in the community. She enjoys going out and being active, especially going on her scooter, visiting farm parks and going out for meals. She also enjoys music and cooking.
She communicates verbally, but if she is dysregulated she may struggle to verbalise and will need support for her wishes to be acknowledged.
Requirements:
Desirable:
- A full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
- Previous PA experience
Essential:
- Enhanced DBS check (funded by the employer)
Hours:
There are 4 hours per week available, these can be flexible on evenings, weekends and School Holidays. Further details of the hours can be discussed with the employer.
