Job Purpose
To provide efficient administrative support across the business, assisting a range of departments including Human Resources, Finance, Purchasing, and Operations. The Business Administrator will ensure that day-to-day administrative activities are completed accurately and efficiently while supporting the smooth running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across the business.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and company documentation.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other business documents as required.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the organisation and coordination of meetings, appointments, and business activities.
- Undertake general office administration and other ad hoc duties as required.
HR Administration
- Provide administrative support to the HR function.
- Assist with employee documentation, record keeping, and maintaining personnel files.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and other HR processes as required.
- Assist with maintaining HR systems and employee records.
- Carry out other HR-related administrative tasks as directed.
Finance Administration
- Provide administrative support to the Finance department.
- Assist with processes
- Support routine finance activities and reporting as required.
- Carry out general finance administration and other ad hoc tasks as directed.
Purchasing Administration
- Provide administrative support to the Purchasing function.
- Support the coordination of purchasing activities as required.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Carry out other purchasing-related administrative duties as directed.
Other Duties
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive company and employee information.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes.
- Undertake any other duties that are reasonable and commensurate with the level of the role.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Desirable
- Experience providing administrative support within HR, Finance, or Purchasing.
- Experience using business management or HR systems.
- Understanding of general business administration processes.
