Responsibilities
- Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for cooking and service
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
- Supporting chefs with organising supplies and stock rotation
- Ensuring all areas of the kitchen are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Supporting serving staff during busy periods as required
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety procedures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment
