Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week, paid door to door, with paid overtime available and weekend working (Saturday time and half, Sunday double pay).

Our work includes live commercial environments, banking sites, offices, data centres, student accommodation and specialist facilities.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced General Builder to join our growing team. The role will involve a varied mix of commercial building fabric, repairs, wet trade works, drainage, brickwork, paving, concrete, roofing, floor repairs and general maintenance works across client sites nationwide.
Key Duties
- Carry out general building repairs, small works and refurbishment tasks.
- Undertake brickwork, blockwork, concrete, drainage, ACO channel, kerbing and paving repairs.
- Assist with building fabric works including floors, walls, roofs, windows, gutters and external areas.
- Work on live commercial sites while maintaining safe access, clean working areas and good standards of finish.
- Read and follow job scopes, RAMS and site instructions.
- Work alongside joiners, electricians, labourers, subcontractors and site teams as required.
- Represent Westmann professionally when dealing with clients, site contacts and other contractors.
Requirements
- CSCS card required (blue or gold).
- Experience in commercial building, repair and maintenance works.
- Wet trade experience preferred, including brickwork, blockwork, plastering, rendering, concrete or drainage repairs.
- Ability to work safely on live sites and occupied commercial premises.
- Able to provide details for DBS check
- UK driving licence
Desirable
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- NVQ Level 3 in construction related trade
- First Aid
- IPAF / PASMA / Working at Height
What We Are Looking For
- A practical, hands-on builder with strong all-round repair and maintenance experience, ideally skilled in wet trades such as brickwork, blockwork, plastering, rendering, concrete and drainage repairs.
- Comfortable working away from home when required.
- Able to plan tasks, identify materials required and complete works to a good commercial standard.
- Reliable, tidy, safety-conscious and willing to support other trades when needed.
What We Offer

- Access to a company vehicle, subject to availability, holding a full UK driving licence and meeting the requirements of the company’s motor insurance policy.
