Key Account Manager – Sheffield, Doncaster and East Humber region
As our new Key Account Manager, you'll play a key role in driving business growth by developing strong, long-term partnerships with some of our most valued customers. Managing a portfolio of key accounts, you'll identify opportunities to grow existing business, win new opportunities and deliver tailored solutions that help our customers achieve their goals.
Working closely with our technical specialists, branch network and wider sales teams, you'll become a trusted advisor to your customers, understanding their challenges and providing value beyond products. Some of your key responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships.
Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive sales growth and increase market share.
Deliver tailored solutions by working collaboratively with technical specialists and branch colleagues.
Develop account plans that maximise customer value, retention and profitability.
Act as the primary point of contact for your customers, providing exceptional service and support.
Monitor market trends and customer requirements to identify opportunities for continuous growth.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
Proven experience in a target-driven sales or key account management role.
A strong track record of building and developing long-term customer relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities that deliver value for both the customer and the business.
Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within your territory.
