Overview
Kitchen Assistants have a really important role in our Clubs – they’re the people who run the kitchens and keep our Customers well-fed and happy. Kitchen Assistant is a great role for anyone who is good at working in a team but also happy working by themselves; someone who has great attention to detail and can follow instructions well. You’ll need some previous experience in F&B. We cook to a set menu, so consistency and quality are key.At busy times the kitchen is fast-paced and you’ll need to be happy to manage multiple orders and (not literally, don’t worry!) do some plate-spinning to keep things on track. You’ll need to be happy managing the ordering of stock as well as taking responsibility for waste management.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment
- Assist with meal presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing before serving
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience in meal preparation, culinary techniques, or serving is advantageous
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
- A genuine passion for food and delivering excellent customer service
- Basic food, hygiene certificate

Pay: £12.21-£12.72 per hour
