Job Summary
We are looking for a part time Domestic Assistant to join our team to help keep our beautiful Nursing Home in Oakhill, spick and span. This role involves housekeeping and laundry.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties and Responsibilities :
- To maintain the internal cleanliness and tidiness of the home, as directed by the Head Housekeeper and cleaning schedules.
- To observe and report any faulty equipment or items needing repair.
- To work in such a manner as to comply with the requirements for the Health and Safety at Work Act and Company Policies and Procedures.
- To observe all safety notices in relation to prohibited and mandatory action.
- To work within COSHH guidelines.
- To be aware of Infection Control Guidelines and work accordingly.
- To report all accidents/incidents to the Head Housekeeper or Nurse on duty.
- To attend supervision meetings with your allocated supervisor, at least 6 times per year (pro rata part time)
- To be aware of anti-discriminatory practice and to promote equality and diversity throughout your work.
- To report any incidents/allegations of abuse following the correct steps in line with Company Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures and Local Safeguarding Adults Policies.
- To have an understanding of the Company Whistleblowing Policy where necessary.
