Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a dedication to providing excellent service as a delivery driver.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service while interacting with clients during deliveries.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed lorries.
- Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with clients and team members.
