Overview
Join our dynamic security team as an SIA Security Guard and play a vital role in safeguarding our premises, assets, and people. This energetic position involves vigilant surveillance, proactive loss prevention, and ensuring a safe environment for everyone on site. As a key frontline representative, you will utilize your keen observation skills and security expertise to maintain order, respond swiftly to incidents, and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the premises continuously using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular surveillance patrols across the site to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying potential security breaches and intervening appropriately.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
- Maintain detailed logs of surveillance activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities of visitors, contractors, and staff entering the premises.
- Assist in training new security personnel on surveillance techniques and safety procedures to foster a vigilant team environment.
Requirements
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license demonstrating compliance with licensing standards.
- Proven experience in security operations, with a strong focus on surveillance and loss prevention.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security monitoring equipment.
- Ability to perform first aid duties confidently in emergency situations.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail for identifying potential threats or irregularities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report incidents and coordinate with emergency responders.
- Physically fit with the stamina to stand or patrol for extended periods during shifts.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Northampton, Northamptonshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
