Job Title: Assistant Depot Manager
Reporting to: Area Manager
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum plus generous bonus scheme based on depot profitability. EV Company Car
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 6.00pm 1 Hour Unpaid Lunch.
Purpose:
We are looking for a hands-on, experienced, Assistant Depot Manager to help oversee operations within the depot. A team leader who can lead by example & motivate the team to achieve their full potential & that of the depot, but also have a passion for customer service within the plant hire industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Assistant Depot Manager will and will manage, oversee and guide a team of office
hire staff, delivery drivers, plant fitters and yard staff as directed by the Area Depot
Manager. You will ensure that the maximum availability of plant and hire equipments is
achieved daily in order to meet our customers needs and requirements. You will ensure
that the team achieves the highest standard of customer service. You will manage staff
absence, rotas and holidays for your team.
Skills/Qualifications:
Background in plant / transport
Previous managerial experience in this role
Able to work Independently and as part of a team
Methodical and organised
Experienced in purchasing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Friendly disposition with a team orientated approach
Experienced in managing a small team of up to 15 staff
Full driving licence
IT literate (Microsoft office products)
Experience in customer service
