The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse or Nursing Associate to join our experienced nursing team on a fixed-term 3-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable clinician to support the practice during a busy period, helping us continue to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team of over 45 staff, including GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacists, Paramedics and Care Coordinators, you will provide high-quality nursing care across a wide range of services.
Your role will include supporting routine and urgent clinical care, long-term condition management where appropriate, preventative healthcare, health promotion, vaccinations and assisting with the delivery of enhanced services.
About You
You will be either:
- A Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration; or
- A Registered Nursing Associate with current NMC registration.
You will enjoy working within a supportive, fast-paced primary care environment and be passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
Ideally you will have experience within General Practice, Community Nursing or another relevant clinical setting; however, training and support will be available for the right candidate.
You should be:
- Compassionate and patient-focused.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Organised and able to prioritise a varied workload.
- Confident working independently within your scope of practice.
- Committed to maintaining high clinical standards and continuous professional development.
- Flexible and willing to support the wider clinical team as service demands require.
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Cervical cytology (Practice Nurse applicants)
- Wound care and dressings
- Long-term condition reviews
- NHS Health Checks
- Phlebotomy
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice
