About the Role
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team. You’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by supporting our chefs with food preparation, maintaining excellent hygiene standards and ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised and well stocked.
This is a fast-paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation, including preparing ingredients and simple dishes.
- Wash, peel and prepare fruit and vegetables.
- Wash up kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and cookware.
- Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and sanitised throughout the day.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries safely.
- Rotate stock and check dates using FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Dispose of waste and recycling safely and efficiently.
- Replenish ingredients and supplies as required.
- Support chefs during busy service periods.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Kitchen Manager or Chef.
- Carry out opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Serve food to customers front of house where required.

Working Hours
This role will include weekdays (if school student then these hours will be after school during term time) weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential, particularly during busy periods.
Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
