The Loddon School is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Clinical Lead to provide expert clinical leadership within our Health Team. This senior nursing role acts as the principal clinical authority, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based care for children and young people across the organisation.
Working closely with the Health Services Manager, the successful candidate will provide specialist clinical expertise to support operational decision-making, lead clinical governance and risk management processes, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice in accordance with the NMC Code. While this role offers significant clinical leadership responsibilities, it does not include line management duties.
Key responsibilities include overseeing clinical governance, medication safety, infection control, care planning, clinical audits, and incident reviews; acting as the clinical liaison with GPs, CAMHS, consultants and other healthcare professionals; supporting safeguarding processes through clinical expertise; coordinating healthcare provision for pupils with complex needs; and delivering clinical training to staff.
The role will also involve maintaining strong relationships with parents and multidisciplinary teams, leading on-site health clinics, supporting admissions and consent processes, managing health records and follow-up actions, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare legislation and organisational policies.
