Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organisational skills, and a proven track record in management roles within social housing or registered housing association. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team, optimise operational efficiency, and contribute to the organisation’s strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily operations to ensure seamless business functioning.
- Line manage the operational team
- Oversee retail management activities, including merchandising, stock control, and sales strategies.
- Develop and implement sales management initiatives to meet organisational targets.
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational workflows.
- Maintain excellent communication with staff, residents, and stakeholders through professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Oversee the onboarding of new properties and portfolios
- Lead on the onboarding of new managing agents and act as key relationship manager to all managing agents
- Oversee administrative tasks such as reporting, record keeping, and compliance with company procedures.
- Provide leadership during organisational changes or project implementations, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare high level Board level Operations report covering new business, asset managment and tenancy management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in management roles within social housing or within a registered housing association environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and time management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
- Experience working in regulated sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Good phone etiquette coupled with professional interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in management or related fields are desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: £65,000.00 per year
