The Role
School of Play is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Sports Coach to join our team and deliver high-quality sports and physical activity provision at a school in Altrincham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a sports coach looking for a consistent Monday–Friday role, working with children during their lunchtime and helping them stay active, engaged and having fun.
You will be responsible for leading a range of fun, inclusive sports and playground activities, creating a positive environment where children of all abilities can participate.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions from 12:00pm–1:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Lead a range of fun and inclusive games and activities
- Encourage participation, teamwork and positive behaviour
- Support children of different abilities and confidence levels
- Maintain a safe, positive and enjoyable environment
- Build positive relationships with children and school staff
- Safely manage and organise sports equipment
- Complete dynamic risk assessments where required
- Represent School of Play professionally at all times
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about sport and physical activity
- Confident and enthusiastic when working with children
- Reliable, punctual and committed
- Comfortable leading groups independently
- Able to engage children and encourage participation
- A positive role model with strong communication skills
- Ideally experienced or qualified in sports coaching, PE or a related area
Pay and Hours
£25.50 per hour
Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–1:00pm
5 hours per week
£127.50 per week
£510 per 4-week month
There may also be opportunities to combine this role with additional School of Play work, including after-school clubs, holiday camps and other coaching opportunities.
