Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces in construction and renovation projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to specified standards and within project deadlines
- Mix paints and colours accurately to achieve desired shades
- Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting processes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is desirable
- Strong understanding of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear interaction with colleagues and clients
- Good driving skills to travel between sites as required
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
