About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our design team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with SolidWorks experience who enjoys taking projects from initial customer drawings through to manufacture.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D models and manufacturing drawings, ensuring designs meet customer specifications, project timescales and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Convert customer 2D drawings into accurate 3D models for client approval.
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings for our fabrication team.
- Manage projects from concept through to manufacture, ensuring designs meet customer requirements.
- Follow established company design processes and quality standards.
- Ensure projects remain within the agreed specification and timescales.
- Upload and manage design documentation through customer design portals where required.
- Liaise with colleagues and customers to resolve technical queries and support successful project delivery.
About You
You'll be a proactive individual with strong technical ability and a passion for producing accurate engineering drawings.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 2 years' experience using SolidWorks - not essential
- Experience creating detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
- The ability to interpret and work from customer drawings and other 2D CAD packages.
- Strong technical, mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A good standard of education.
- A full UK driving licence.

Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
