Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef/Carvery Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meats, vegetables, and accompaniments for the carvery station, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Manage daily food preparation tasks, including portioning, garnishing, and ensuring freshness of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure availability of ingredients
- Serve hot meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment for staff and guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food hygiene standards
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, including carving meats and assembling dishes with precision
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service expectations
