About the Role
Kismet Engineering is looking for an experienced and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team . We supply structural and non structural steelwork and welding services to a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. We work to the highest industry standards, including BS EN 1090 up to Execution Class 3.
This role requires a fabricator with a strong understanding of quality, accuracy, and safety, capable of working from technical drawings to produce assemblies to tight tolerances and to a high quality finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate structural and non structural steel components in accordance with BS EN 1090 Execution Class 3 standards where required.
- Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and welding symbols
- Operate workshop machinery including saws, drills, and press brakes
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with internal and client specifications
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures and workshop protocols
- Contribute to a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Work both independently and collaboratively with a team of fabricators and welders
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in welding/steel fabrication
- Competent in MIG welding (weld test may be required at interview)
- Ability to read and work from engineering/fabrication drawings with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with CE marking and associated documentation is advantageous
- Strong understanding of quality standards and dimensional accuracy
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail essential
