Solar Electrician

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Solar Electrician to join a growing renewable energy business delivering high-quality domestic and commercial solar PV and battery storage installations across the UK.
This is a permanent PAYE position offering a competitive salary, long-term career progression, and the opportunity to work on a variety of renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission domestic and commercial Solar PV systems.
- Install and commission battery storage systems.
- Complete electrical wiring and containment in accordance with BS7671.
- Carry out fault finding, maintenance and remedial works on existing solar installations.
- Perform testing, inspection and certification of completed works.
- Ensure all work complies with MCS standards, health & safety regulations and company procedures.
- Complete job documentation accurately using digital systems.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards while working in occupied properties.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Valid ECS or JIB Gold Card.
- Recognised Solar PV qualification (Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems or equivalent).
- Recognised Battery Storage qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience installing Solar PV and battery storage systems.
Desirable
- MCS installation experience.
- Experience with Tesla, GivEnergy, SolarEdge, Fox ESS, Sigenergy or similar manufacturers.
- Experience working on domestic retrofit projects.
- IPAF or PASMA certification.
