Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Skilled Landscape Labourerto join our team on a permanent basis.
Overview
As a Skilled Landscape Labourer, you will play an important role in supporting our experienced landscapers to deliver high-quality hard landscaping projects. This is a hands-on position involving site preparation, machinery operation, material handling and assisting with the installation of premium landscape features.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in landscaping, construction or groundworks, be physically fit, reliable and eager to work as part of a professional team.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled landscapers with the construction of patios, pathways, driveways, walls, fencing and other hard landscaping features.
- Prepare sites by excavating, levelling, moving materials and carrying out groundwork as instructed.
- Operate machinery and plant, including mini excavators, dumpers, compactors and mixers (experience preferred).
- Measure and cut natural stone, porcelain and other landscaping materials ready for installation.
- Mix mortar, concrete and bedding materials to the required specifications.
- Load, unload and safely move construction materials, tools and equipment around site.
- Operate a range of power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with drainage, foundations and other groundwork tasks.
- Maintain tools, machinery and equipment, ensuring they remain clean and in good working order.
- Keep sites tidy, organised and safe throughout each project.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work closely with the landscaping team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, groundworks or a similar hands-on role.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely.
- Confidence mixing mortar, concrete and other construction materials.
- Experience operating machinery such as mini excavators or dumpers is advantageous but not essential.
- A good understanding of site preparation and general construction practices.
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn from experienced landscapers.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- A full UK driving licence and your own reliable transport are essential, as you will be required to travel to our yard in the Harpenden/St Albans area and various project sites across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties.

Pay: £125.00-£150.00 per day
