We are seeking a Strategic Asset Manager reporting to the Head of Asset & Data Management.
This role is responsible for developing and managing the asset management framework, ensuring it enables the best output from M&E and Fabric assets across the estate at an operational, tactical, and strategic level.
Job Description
We are looking for a candidate with expert knowledge of asset management within a Total Facilities Management (TFM) environment, supported by experience in technical services delivery.
The role will play a key part in influencing the client’s approach to asset management and driving effective, data-led decision-making across the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver asset management objectives defined within the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP)
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Asset Management System Framework (AMSF) across the account
- Embed AMSF Business Process Standards and consistent ways of working across all teams
- Provide financial and asset intelligence, including Financial Management Reporting (FMR), to support decision-making
- Translate asset data (condition, performance, risk, lifecycle) into strategic and financial insight
- Support lifecycle planning, asset investment planning, and prioritisation across M&E and Fabric assets
- Act as the focal point for asset management governance, assurance, and audit readiness (including ISO 55001 alignment)
- Drive continuous improvement through performance monitoring, management reviews, and improvement actions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams, technical services, PMO, finance, and suppliers
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of asset management principles within a TFM or large estate environment
- Experience of SAMP development and delivery aligned to ISO 55001
- Strong understanding of asset performance, lifecycle planning, risk, and investment decision-making
- Ability to translate technical asset data into strategic and financial outputs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- IAM Certificate or Diploma in Asset Management
- ISO 55001 Lead/Internal Auditor training or experience supporting audits and certification
- Must hold full UK driving licence (car/car allowance provided)
