Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team. This isn't a fancy white table cloth kitchen, its a busy, well run pub kitchen where standards matter, teamwork matters, and keeping your station clean really matters. We also like to encourage creativity and have your input on menu ideas and specials. As well as pub grub, we also cater for funerals, the odd wedding and party meals as well as buffet options. We also have a large beer garden where we operate an outside menu in the summer.
We need some on who,
- Has solid kitchen experience (not your first rodeo)
- Can run your own section confidently
- Keeps your station clean, organised and up to standards
- Works well as part of a team but works even better on your own.
- Is comfortable with lone working during quieter periods
- Doesn't flap under pressure, Calm heads only please.
- Turns up, cracks on and takes pride in their work
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant setting, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
- Kitchen managing experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP certification preferred)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Good understanding of food production processes and hospitality operations
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is highly essential
- Passion for culinary arts with creative flair for developing innovative dishes
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
