Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Ground Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various outdoor maintenance and construction tasks, ensuring the proper upkeep of landscapes and construction sites. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mowing, and general gardening tasks
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Support with construction activities, including site preparation and material handling
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal functioning
- Help with the installation and repair of irrigation systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during outdoor work activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Basic understanding of horticulture or horticultural practices is preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, digging, and operating machinery
- A valid PERSON (or equivalent) is required for certain roles involving specialised equipment or hazardous environments
