About The Role
As an Event Porter, you will be representing Mercedes-Benz World onsite, role of Event Porter will be based in the office Monday – Friday (approx. 80% of our events happen Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm) however we would need there to be flexibility to work evenings and weekends on an ad hoc basis and in line with the events calendar as needed.
Location: Mercedes Benz World, Weybridge, Surrey
Working Hours: No pattern. But weekdays 17:00 – 22:00 is typical

Mercedes-Benz World is a premier automotive attraction located at the historic Brooklands racing circuit in Weybridge, Surrey, offering free entry to explore three floors of interactive exhibits, classic cars, modern Mercedes-AMG models and Formula One cars. It features thrill-seeking driving experiences on track and off-road, simulators, and family-friendly activities.
Absolute Taste operates The Recharge café, the Bistro restaurant on the top floor with views over the racetrack and Surrey countryside as well as a staff restaurant for up to 250 staff.
We are the sole providers for all events at Mercedes-Benz World and can deliver multiple events per day from small corporate meetings to expo’s and conferences for 800 guests.
Your Key Responsibilities as an Event Porter will be :

Setting up rooms and de-rigging rooms for events (often on a daily basis).

Moving and lifting heavy tables and chairs.

Filling water bottles.

Managing agency porters for larger events.

Maintaining event storage rooms.

Keeping stock count of equipment, cutlery, crockery etc.

Managing linen cleaning contract.

Liaising with equipment rental companies.

Polishing cutlery and glassware.
