Exciting Opportunity in Our Livestock Department!
We have an exciting opportunity within our Livestock Department and are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable animal lover who is comfortable handling all types of animals. Full training will be provided, so previous animal handling experience is not essential - just a genuine passion for animal welfare and a willingness to learn.
We are a long-established and respected freight forwarding company specialising in the transportation of livestock, alongside general cargo, air, sea and road freight.
The Role
Your primary role will be supporting our Livestock team, carrying out collections and deliveries of animals safely and professionally. From time to time, you may also assist our General Cargo and Motorcycle departments.
Alongside driving duties, you will help with warehouse operations, maintaining company vehicles and supporting the wider business wherever needed.
Working Hours
- Primarily Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm.
- Flexibility is essential due to the nature of the business.
- There will occasionally be a requirement to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Wherever possible, advance notice will be given.
- Overtime is paid in accordance with your employment contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect and deliver livestock and other cargo.
- Load, unload and secure cargo correctly.
- Carry out goods-in and goods-out checks, ensuring paperwork is accurate.
- Maintain company vehicles, including routine checks, refuelling and reporting defects.
- Keep vehicles, warehouses and work areas clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Complete delivery paperwork and run sheets accurately.
- Ensure the security of vehicles, cargo and documentation.
- Follow all company procedures, road traffic laws and driving regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse, maintenance and administrative duties as required.

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
