We are a busy used car dealership with an immediate opening for an NVQ Level 3 Technician. This role involves vehicle sales preparation and repair. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 0900-1730. Overtime is available, as is the opportunity to use the workspace to complete repairs outside of the shift pattern, provided no business interruption.
Duties
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical or electrical faults.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts accurately following technical specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify vehicle structures.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and service history for each vehicle.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Motor Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Prior experience up to NVQ Level 3 with maintenance routines, equipment repair, and general automotive servicing is Mandatory.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
