2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice
Glasgow Rewires is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic 2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our growing domestic rewire team.
We're looking for someone who is committed to developing their skills, completing their apprenticeship and building a long term career in the electrical industry. Working alongside experienced electricians, you'll gain valuable hands on experience carrying out rewires across Glasgow and the surrounding areas, while receiving the support needed to continue progressing through your apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
- Assisting electricians with rewires
- Installing wiring systems, sockets, switches and lighting
- Developing your inspection, testing and fault-finding skills
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Providing a professional service while working in occupied and vacant properties
Requirements
- Currently in your 2nd or 3rd year of an electrical apprenticeship
- Committed to completing your apprenticeship and continuing your development
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
Travel Requirements
- Apprentices are responsible for making their own way to and from the allocated site each day.
- Sites vary across Glasgow and the surrounding areas, so applicants should be able to travel independently and reliably.
