The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Assembly Operations Manager to lead a team of 10–15 staff and take ownership of our assembly department.
This is not a desk-based management role. You will be on the shop floor, leading from the front, driving standards, improving productivity and ensuring targets are delivered.
Working directly with the owner, you will help build and implement the systems, processes and structure required to support the next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10–15 assembly staff.
- Drive productivity, quality and on-time delivery.
- Establish and maintain high standards of organisation and housekeeping.
- Work alongside the owner to implement systems, processes and continuous improvements.
- Hold the team accountable and create a culture of ownership.
- Identify problems, remove bottlenecks and deliver solutions.
- Ensure the department operates efficiently, safely and professionally.
About You
- Proven experience leading assembly, production or manufacturing teams.
- Hands-on leader who leads by example.
- Organised, decisive and highly accountable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem solver who gets things done.
- Driven by results, standards and continuous improvement.
Success in This Role
Within 12 months you will have built a highly organised, efficient and scalable assembly operation with clear systems, strong accountability and consistent delivery against targets.
