FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a specialist structural investigation, testing and scanning company with the recruitment of a Field Technician.
Permanent position. This role will be based from Watford, with travel to construction sites. The company works across structural investigation, concrete scanning and construction materials testing using specialist technology and equipment.
Salary:
£28,000 – £35,000, depending on experience + regular overtime available & growth opportunities + Company Van
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out structural investigations on construction sites
- Use specialist scanning technology and testing equipment
- Undertake on-site testing of construction materials and structures
- Accurately record site findings and complete results sheets
- Carry out basic calculations and assist with technical reporting
- Work across a varied range of construction and civil engineering projects
- Ensure equipment is used safely and correctly
- Follow site health and safety procedures at all times
- Travel to client sites as required
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, testing or a technical field-based role would be advantageous
- An engineering or construction-related qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
- Full training will be provided
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working on active construction sites
- Good attention to detail and basic numerical ability
- Proactive, reliable and positive "can-do" attitude
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Candidates must live within approximately 30 miles of WD18, Watford
