Moon Workshop is looking for an experienced and Skilled Carpenter / Joiner to join our growing team, delivering high-end architectural joinery and second fix carpentry on some of the South West's finest residential projects.
Moon brings together construction, furniture and joinery under one roof. Working closely with our Workshop and Build teams, we deliver bespoke residential and commercial projects throughout Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and the South West – ranging from architect-designed contemporary homes to listed buildings and carefully crafted renovations.
We're looking for someone with excellent practical ability, exceptional attention to detail and genuine pride in their work. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone with energy and drive—someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems and wants to be part of a team that's continually raising the bar.
Our bespoke projects demand accuracy, initiative and a commitment to producing work of an exceptional standard.
Main Responsibilities:
- Installation of bespoke architectural joinery manufactured by our workshop
- High-end second fix carpentry
- Hanging doors and fitting ironmongery to an exceptional standard
- Installation of skirtings, architraves, wall panelling and bespoke timber details
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Working closely with our Site Management and Workshop teams to deliver exceptional results
- Taking ownership of the work, solving problems on site and maintaining the highest quality of finish
- Maintaining a tidy, organised and professional working environment
- Representing Moon professionally with clients and other trades
Skills / Experience:
- Proven experience in high-quality second fix carpentry and architectural joinery
- Excellent understanding of construction methods and finishing details
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- A desire to continually improve and contribute to a high-performing team
- Professional attitude and excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
