About the Role
Shifnal Dental Care is looking for a motivated, caring and reliable Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Dental Nurse who takes pride in providing high-quality patient care and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team. You will work alongside our dentists and wider clinical team to ensure patients receive a positive, professional and comfortable experience.
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident in a busy dental environment, with a strong commitment to clinical standards and patient care.
Working Hours
- Monday: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am – 8:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Wednesday: 8:00am – 8:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Thursday: OFF
- Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Total hours: 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Providing chairside assistance to dentists during a wide range of treatments
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available
- Maintaining high standards of cross-infection control and decontamination
- Ensuring surgeries are clean, tidy and fully stocked
- Supporting clinicians with efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Welcoming and reassuring patients and helping to create a positive patient experience
- Preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Processing and maintaining appropriate clinical records
- Following practice policies, procedures and clinical protocols
- Supporting the team with day-to-day duties within the practice
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with GDPR requirements
- Ensuring all relevant GDC and regulatory requirements are followed
- Supporting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- GDC registered or working towards registration
- Qualified as a Dental Nurse
- Friendly, approachable and professional

- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Committed to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
- Positive in their approach and willing to support colleagues
